ROUNDTABLE "ROSATOM FOR AFRICA" with graduates of flagship and partner universities of the State Atomic Energy Corporation "Rosatom" from African countries

The State Atomic Energy Corporation «Rosatom», with the support of the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia named after Patrice Lumumba and with the participation of Rosatom’s partner universities, holds a roundtable «Rosatom for Africa» on 27 October, 2026 on the margins of the Third «Russia-Africa» Summit 2026 with the participation of the Russian / Soviet Universities’ graduates from the African countries.

The roundtable is aimed at strengthening intergenerational ties and forming a cohesive and active professional community as a foundation for long-term cooperation and the development of partnership between Russia and African countries in the field of nuclear energy.

The speakers at the roundtable will be representatives of the industrial and academic communities of Russia and African countries, graduates of Rosatom partner universities: National Research Nuclear University «MEPhI», Tomsk Polytechnic University, National University of Science and Technology «MISIS», Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, and D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia.

We invite graduates of the Russian universities from African countries, representatives of universities, and students and young scientists from Russian and overseas universities to participate in the discussion on important issues. How exactly can the «university – alumni – industry» partnership contribute to expanding the areas of cooperation between Russia and African countries to address the socio-economic problems of the region? What values, skills, and competencies remain important for all generations to become professionals and leaders in their countries?
