Peoples Friendship University of Russia named after Patrice Lumumba (hereinafter – RUDN University), with the support of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom and with the participation of Rosatom partner universities, will hold the 6th International Youth Forum “Russia–Africa: Nuclear Education as a Driver for Sustainable Regional Development” on 27 May 2026.
The Forum traditionally brings together representatives of international organizations, diplomatic missions of African states in the Russian Federation, public authorities, the academic community, business entities, and civil society organizations from Russia and African countries.
Students, postgraduate students, and young researchers from Russian and international universities will have the opportunity to present their academic and research projects, engage in professional dialogue with representatives from different countries, hear expert opinions from leading specialists, deliver presentations, and actively participate in the Forum program.
The Forum program includes a plenary session and thematic sections dedicated to both energy and non-energy applications of nuclear technologies, including: “Nuclear Reactors,” “Radiation Safety,” “Agrotechnologies,” “Ecology,” “Nuclear Medicine,” “Geology and Mining,” “Industrial Partnership,” as well as sections on “Youth and Civil Society Movements and Organizations” and “Alumni Contribution to Regional Development.”
This year, the section moderators will be профильные experts representing leading core and partner universities of Rosatom, including MEPhI, TPU, UrFU, Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology, NUST MISIS, Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E. Alekseev, and RUDN University.
We kindly invite university representatives, including faculty members in relevant fields, as well as students, postgraduate students, and young researchers from Russian and international universities, to participate in the Forum in person.
Based on the materials of the Forum, a proceedings volume in English, indexed in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI), is planned for publication.
Materials for publication are accepted through April 30, 2026, inclusive. Submissions should be sent by email to the moderators of the relevant sections.
